To join us in the Fourth of July festivities Tonya's family came to Hickory from Knoxville.
We started the day with a pancake breakfast and then hurried home to dress for the lake.

After having some fun swimming by the dock, we enjoyed a nice boat ride.
The afternoon water fun also included tubing (not pictured). 
After returning from the Lake we started to prepare the Fourth of July Festivities. The meal was complete with homemade hamburgers, hotdogs, corn on the cob, watermelon, broccoli salad, and our prized jello salad(pictured above).

and Austin enjoyed the hotdogs.
Of course there is always time for Legos especially when building the Lord's house. On Sunday after church and a nice relaxing afternoon complete with yummy leftovers we all hopped in the car and drove to Durham. While the adults played the Wii...
The children watched Spiderman in the blanket fort.
