On Saturday, we all piled into the car and headed for the beach (about 2 1/2 hours away). It was a blast. After spending the whole day on the beach we piled back in the car and returned to Durham. Jennie's family then continued on towards Hickory after a short stop in Durham.
As our day was coming to a close, Martin noticed a small white object bobbing up and down in the ocean. It turns out it was a fishing boat that had just capsized. We got to watch the full scale rescue mission complete with lifeguards on jetski's, two coast guard boats (pictured below) and a tug boat. It was pretty interesting to watch.
