UK Day 11: Windsor Castle

Day 11 was the first and only rainy day of our trip. Once again we headed into London but continued on to Windsor. In Windsor we visited Windsor Castle, the queens favored weekend residence. We visited on a Saturday but the queen was in Scotland and so no glimpses of royalty. We were able to visit the majestic state apartments and St. Georges Cathedral, but afternoon downpours limited our ability to enjoy the castle grounds. After our visit to the castle we returned to London and enjoyed a walk in the rain through Hyde Park and dinner at The White Stallion, a pub near Covent Garden.
