Dollywood
On Labour day weekend we jumped into the car and drove (with an overnight stop in Hickory) to Dollywood to meet Tonya, Dustin and the boys. We had a great time. Here are the pictures. Even the rain didn't slow us down.
This looks like Martin being a good uncle, but it was really a secret plot to keep Mason from running to the front of the line for his favorite ride (and Martin being a good uncle).

Yeah it may be a bit cheesy but come on. You can't see a giant heart and not take a picture under it. Especially if you are newlyweds. We like it.

Booms Day
While in Knoxsville we also visited Boomsday. It was a twenty minute long fireworks show that was spectacular. Unfortunately the wind was such that we couldn't see the last five minutes, including the Grand Finale, because fireworks were concealed with smoke. Below are some pictures though.

Ann Arbor, MI
Martin went to the University of Michigan for work. This is the only picture that he took. It's adds a new element of excitement to the game chess. He also got to spend time with his family in Cleveland.
Asheville, NC
The next weekend Martin went to another scientific meeting in Asheville, NC. He wasn't able to take any pictures of that either, but enjoyed his time there.
