2010-2011

Catch up time!!

Since our last post...

1.  Daniel Baird married Mandi Alexander on August 21, 2010 in the Jordan River Temple!  We had a wonderful time in Utah visiting with family and friends.  We also had a wonderful time at their reception in North Carolina at the Baird Party House. 

1.  I started working at an Endocrinology/Internal Medicine clinic in Burlington, NC.
2. Martin started his first year at UNC for his PhD in Bioinformatics and Computational Biology http://bcb.unc.edu/
3.  We had a great time at the NC State Fair, of course. 

4.  We spent Thanksgiving in Hickory and it was great to have Jared home.
5.  We enjoyed a White Christmas in Hickory, NC with the whole gang!

6.  Martin and I introduced my family to a traditional Ukrainian Christmas Feast! 
7.  We did our traditional "Running of the Lights" 5k at 12:00am on New Year's Eve to ring in 2011! 

8.  We found out we were PREGNANT!!!!
9.  February 19, we went to Windber Pennsylvania to celebrate Martin's Grandmother's 80th Birthday!  So fun to see family and visit Pennsylvania! 

10.  March we took a trip to Washinton, DC which included a tip to the temple, lots of monuments, Holocaust Museum, Air and Space Museum, Arlington, and a St. Patrick's Day Parade.

11.  May...we went to Bloomsburg/Conyngham, Pennsylvania for Martin's cousin Leela's wedding.  It was a beautiful weekend trip to see family and celebrate our 2 year wedding anniversary.  To celebrate, while we were driving through Maryland, we stopped at Cafe Rio...TWICE. 
12.  June...We drove up to Erie, Pennsylvania for the Ott Reunion.  We spent a wonderful day on the beach, eating, riding bikes, and chatting with family. 
Also in June...Martin passed his qualifying examinations to continue with his program!! 
13.  Summer.  We took several trips back to Hickory to spend time with my mom and brother Jared.  We also went to the beach.  We had a great summer, leading up to...

14.  August 29, 2011 the birth of our son
